STRIPPED (AGAIN)
Out of imagery, I took off all my clothes.
Julie Koldby (b.1993, Denmark) is an interdisciplinary artist currently based in Copenhagen (DK). Generally, her work revolves around the interference of matter and meaning; the effects of how meaning-making or knowledge is produced, and how matter matters. She is intrigued by new ways of meaning-making as a response to movement and change and alternative ways of seeing. Koldby interweaves a range of materials and methods, historical refences, and sensory experiences that, in one way or the other, are sculptural and in transition.
Koldby graduated with an MA from the Royal College of Art in London (UK) in 2022 and holds a BFA from Malmö Art Academy (SE) and The Cooper Union in New York (US) in 2019.
